SOGNI DI CITTA’

L’aria è tersa stamani:
il giorno, che già tarda a venire,
promette presagi di beni e fortuna:
“lo dicono anche le stelle!”

Settembre si avvicina
portando auspici migliori
e presto le città si travestiranno di mare.
Accade, a volte:
quando il cielo si fa alto
e il vento gioca con i profumi

Sono buffe le città,
molteplici e multiformi,
imprevedibili,
come certe persone.

Alle città piace nascondersi:
in una coltre di nuvola
o sotto un lembo di colore,
sopra un arcobaleno di suoni…
oppure, alle città piace celarsi
dietro i visi degli innamorati,
che vagano per le loro vie
cercandosi con gli sguardi.

Di tanto in tanto mi perdo
nelle sue luci e mi faccio
abbagliare dalle sue ombre,
spiando le vite di chi,
sconosciuto, passa per caso.

Immagino la sua esistenze
e il suo cuore…
Mi racconto la sua fiaba:
quella perduta nella bolla soffiata
di un sogno che, un tempo,
fu anche mio.

Mi smarrisco sempre, allora,
e mi confondo nel sogno
mentre la mia mente s’abbaglia
nel lampo di un tramonto.

DREAMS OF TOWNS
The air is clear this morning:
the day, which is already late in coming,
promises presages for goods and luck:
"Say even the stars!"
September is approaching
bringing best wishes
and soon the city will disguise by sea.
It happens, sometimes:
when the sky is high
and the wind plays with the scents
Cities are funny, numerous and diversified,
unpredictable how certain people.
Cities like hiding: in a blanket of cloud
or in a strip of colour, above a rainbow of sounds ...
or, to cities like hiding
behind the faces of the lovers,
wandering on their way
looking for each others by eyes
From time to time I get lost in its lights
and I do blinded by its shadow,
spying the lives of those who,
unknown, pass-by-case.
I imagine their lives and their hearts ...
I tell their fairy tale:
lost in the dream’s bubble blown
that, one time, was also mine.
I always lose myself, then,
and confuse me in the dream,
while my mind is blinded
in the flash of a sunset.
